Hey loves, welcome back. Today we are going to talk about how to structure your Christmas shopping list for best results.
First at the top of a fresh piece of paper, write your budget and circle it.
Advent Calender’s come first. Beauty, novalty, chocolate it doesn’t matter get them early.
Then if you have to buy toys for children this year, you’re gonna want to do that next. We have a entire article explaining why, so we won’t go into super detail here but you will avoid disappointment if you shop early for toys.
Next, choose one person in your life that you want to give something extra special. Do their gift next. My family know I do this, I get special presents for one person in my family and the rest get little something’s. There’s no jealousy because I choose a different person each year.
Next, any electronics, games or technology you need to buy.
Check back to your budget, how are you doing?
Next buy any clothes, cosmetics or beauty and skin care you need to buy.
Then pick up any oddities or special items you need. ( Cue the rubber duckies)
Next do your confectionery shop.
Then pick a wrapping paper, tags bows etc … All in the theme you’ve chosen and don’t forget Christmas cards and stamps.
At this point your list should be pretty much done. Now it’s time for stocking stuffers and secret santas/ work + school gifts.
Finally treat yourself to a little something, you’ve earned it.
Now all that’s left to do is decor and food.
You’ve already picked your theme for the year when you chose your wrapping paper and cards. Pick a tree and ornaments that match your theme and finish off with a wreath and garlands/tinsel.
Now all that’s left to do is your food shop but most people typically do that nearer Christmas.
Doing your Christmas shopping methodically like this takes the stress out of the holidays.
Happy shopping!
